Born in Modena on 5th December 1950, he graduated cum laude from the University of Modena in 1973. He is a professor of industrial law at the LUISS University in Rome and at the University of Modena.
He was admitted to the Modena Bar Association in 1976 and has gained extensive experience in the field of industrial law, focusing specifically on competition, particularly within the EU. He has been a member of the editorial staff of the periodical “Annotated Industrial Case Law” since 1986 and is also the author of numerous publications on the subject, including commentaries on the rules governing trademarks and patents. Because of his intense professional exchanges with the firm, he is frequently a lawyer for the defence in high-profile litigation cases.
