Born in Merlino (Lodi) on 12th August 1950, he graduated from the University of Milan. Director of Legal and Corporate Department in major companies (some of them listed in Stock Exchange) operating in the areas of banking services, securities investment, real estate and department stores business, he gained a deep knowledge and developed an interdisciplinary experience in legal matters related to company, commercial, contractual, government, criminal and tax law.
In the companies context, he dealt with the organisation of internal schemes concerning privacy, labour safety and companies' liability for crimes committed by staffs and, in this connection, he was member of Vigilance Bodies set forth by Law Decree 231/2001.
Member of the Association of Corporate Jurists, in the interest of which he promoted and organised the National School for Corporate Jurists, he is a teacher of this School and other training educational centres in the fields of commercial contracts, distribution, advertising, marketing and e-commerce contracts.

1973. He is a professor of industrial law at the LUISS University in
Rome and at the University of Modena. He was admitted to the Modena Bar
Association in 1976 and has gained extensive experience in the field of
industrial law, focusing specifically on competition, particularly
within the EU. He has been a member of the editorial staff of the
periodical "Annotated Industrial Case Law" since 1986 and is also the
author of numerous publications on the subject, including commentaries
on the rules governing trademarks and patents. Because of his intense
professional exchanges with the firm, he is frequently a lawyer for the
defence in high-profile litigation cases. His most activity is counselling in corporate, finance and reale estate areas, with a specific skill in international contracts. A student of Prof. Tiziano Treu, he works on a professional level while also conducting ongoing scientific research activities. For fifteen years he has collaborated with the Institute of Labour Law of the University of Pavia and is the author of numerous Publications that have appeared in the leading Italian labour-law periodicals. His in-depth studies focusing on labour law, backed by twenty years of consulting and courtroom experience, led to his nomination as a special sub-commissioner with INAIL (National Insurance Institute for Industrial Accidents) in 1994, on appointment by the Ministry of Labour.
